We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the Service: Process your uploaded files, generate AI study materials, power the AI Tutor, and display your study schedule and progress.

4. Your Uploaded Course Materials

When you upload a syllabus, professor slides, textbook PDF, or study guide, that content is:

  • Stored in encrypted cloud storage accessible only to your account.
  • Processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to generate your study materials. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.
  • Never shared with other CourseLogic users.
  • Deleted from our servers within 30 days of account deletion, except where retention is required by law.

Textbook uploads: By uploading a textbook PDF, you represent that you legally own or have authorized access to that content. CourseLogic does not verify ownership but reserves the right to terminate accounts where infringement is reported.

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: Trusted third-party vendors who help us operate the Service (Supabase for database and storage, Anthropic for AI processing, OpenAI for text embeddings, LlamaParse for document extraction, Stripe for payments, Vercel for hosting). Each is contractually bound to protect your data.
